KAM Project Consultants is Contollo’s fifth acquisition since its formation 14 months ago.

Contollo Group Ltd began life in February 2024 by acquiring cost and project management consultant Abacus, with backing from private equity firm Northedge.

It then rapidly acquired Tace, MBA Consulting Engineers and Engineering Services Partnership (ESP).

KAM Project Consultants was founded in 2013 by Kevin Sims and Mike Wilcock and has built a portfolio in the industrial and logistics sector, delivering project and cost management services from six UK offices and a German office that opened in 2019.

KAM turned over £10m last year and made a pre-tax profit of more than £2m. It has approximately 70 employees.

The acquisition strengthens Contollo's core project and cost management offering, complementing its inaugural acquisition, Abacus.

Contollo now has more than 230 staff across 19 offices.

Contollo Group chief executive Ruth Percival said: "KAM is an excellent addition to the Contollo Group. The company’s scale in project and cost management significantly strengthens our offering, particularly in the industrial and logistics sector – a market with tremendous opportunities. KAM's strategic focus on sustainability aligns perfectly with our mission to drive ultra-low carbon, cost-effective solutions for the built environment.

“2025 has already been a pivotal year for Contollo. As we integrate our teams, we remain focused on delivering smart, innovative solutions to our clients and identifying like-minded partners for future growth. Our expanding capabilities and sector expertise position us to add increasing value across the built environment."

KAM managing director Scott Price said: "We have been in talks with Contollo for some time and we have been consistently impressed by the way they operate and deliver results. KAM is ready for its next stage of growth, but it was paramount that any new partner we engaged with was people oriented. We are confident that Contollo is the respectful, growth focused partner we were looking for. The opportunity this brings for our clients, the business and our team is really exciting."
